Right-of-Way Work
We build driveway approaches, sidewalks, curb and gutter in the right-of-way to City of LA, LA County, Beverly Hills and Burbank standard plans. We pull the street permit under our license, and the owner pays the agency's fees directly. If the City sent you a sidewalk notice or a rebate offer, send it to us with your request.

How the work goes
- Send us the City's notice, the plans or a few photos.
- We pull the permit under our license. The owner pays the agency's fees directly.
- We set up traffic control as the permit requires. Surveying and traffic control plans, when the agency asks for them, are by others.
- We remove the old work, then form and pour to the BOE standard plans and the Greenbook.
- The agency inspects, and the permit is closed.
What drives the cost
- Length of sidewalk or curb, and the width of the approach
- Tree roots and utility boxes in the way. If roots lifted the old sidewalk, we talk through how the roots will be handled with you and the agency before we pour, because roots left in place can lift the new slab too

Common questions
Will the City's sidewalk rebate cover my repair?
Usually only part of it. Apply through the City's sidewalk repair program first, then send us the City's offer or notice along with a few photos. We price the full repair to the City's standard plans so you can see how much the rebate covers and what is left.
Who pays the permit and agency fees?
The owner pays permit and agency fees directly to the agency. We don't include them in our price, because the amounts aren't known until the agency invoices them. On street work we pull the permit under our license, and the fee notices come straight to you.
